State Fair 2011

Grabbing a treat--some yummy fudge!

In the 4-H building, watching the musical theater production.

This got the kids really excited about doing arts through 4-H.

Testing out the underwater robots.

Trying out the loom in the Creative Arts Building

In the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) building.  We love this building!

Checkin' out the chickens.

Beatnik chicken.

The International Bazaar is new(ish) and a very, very cool area!  I could spend a lotta time over there...

Riding the chairs back to the car.  (It's like a ski lift for those unfamiliar with the MN State Fairgrounds.)

We're going to the State Fair!

For free!  Well, mostly.  Holly won this from the library for reading this summer:

Yep, that's four free admission tickets, worth about $40!  We're very excited to go this year.  It's been years since our last visit, and we weren't planning on going this year--it gets pretty costly and we're going to have a vacation around that time.  It'll be great for the kids to check out all the 4-H projects and get excited about what they can do in the future, along with all the other fun stuff at the fair.  There will be a post about our day at the fair for sure by the end of the month!

Go Holly!
